Description
An artist who lives in a city may spend a lifetime painting it, and their work will possess a profound depth. In contrast, someone who visits a city briefly and paints just one piece will capture a different atmosphere. In literature, it’s said: spend one day in a city, and you might write an entire novel; stay for a year, and you’ll write a short story; but if you spend a lifetime there, you might write nothing at all. It seems that knowing less can sometimes be an advantage. Perhaps painting is the same.
This painting, created with a palette knife in acrylic on canvas, depicts one of the villages in Italy that I once visited.
