Love by accident

I named this piece “Love by Accident.” As the saying goes, ‘Even bowls and plates sometimes collide,’ but have you ever wondered if, perhaps, they’re feeling happy and content just by colliding with one another? Life is like that too – things may not always be as they seem. Some ‘collisions’ are truly beautiful.

Junie, my daughter, sometimes decides what I paint. She’s also my first critic and, occasionally, a collector. There are some paintings Junie absolutely refuses to let me sell, and now she has her own little collection. This painting earned a lot of praise from her. Junie has an incredible eye for art, so I often invite her to view my work and share her thoughts. The pure, honest perspective of a child is a treasure I believe any artist would be lucky to experience.
