EXPLORE MYCollection
Here are the series I’m currently painting. Some of these series I’ve been working on for years, while others are more recent. The paintings in these series are not yet available for sale, but you can always view them here, and I’ll keep updating with new works.
DREAMY DA LAT
I wasn’t born in Da Lat and now live in Ho Chi Minh City, but Da Lat feels like a second hometown to me. That city, with its atmosphere and fragrance, is how I’ve come to connect with my own soul. The Da Lat I see is simple and allows me to be myself, without playing any roles or putting on any masks. Yet, when I sit in Saigon and paint “my Da Lat,” perhaps the Da Lat that emerges is very different from the one you see, and also different from the one I once saw. It is a “Dreamy Da Lat,” not the romanticized Da Lat you often hear about. It’s a place I always long for, a space filled with light, peace, gentleness, and of course, a dreamy essence.
ROCKY TREES
Portrait painting is considered one of my strengths, even though I don’t dedicate much time to this subject. As a result, I haven’t created many portrait works. Among them are paintings of my children. My husband has often expressed his desire to be my model, but for some reason, I’ve always felt a bit uneasy about painting him. After several rounds of his playful “sulking,” I finally agreed to create his portrait. And here it is: this series is called Pomegranate Tree on the Rock, a portrait of him.
It represents a tree growing on a rocky cliff, thriving with resilience, toughness, and radiance under the scorching sun and countless storms. This tree always finds abundant energy to live joyfully, to converse with the wind, the sun, the rainbows… We should all strive to live like a tree on the rock. No matter how hard life gets, we should still bloom beautifully.

NIRVANA
Nirvana, in ancient Sanskrit, also means “Extinguished Candle.” The candle going out doesn’t symbolize the moment life ends and death begins. Instead, it marks the moment when the flame of the ego is extinguished, and Nirvana reveals itself. When we live without being ruled by the ego, when the mind no longer controls us, then anywhere can be paradise. Living in profound peace and serenity means we have already found heaven.
In this series, I always paint portraits with closed eyes. Our eyes are the primary way we take in information, even before we can hear, smell, or touch. The more images we absorb, the more agitated our mind becomes. When the mind no longer governs us, it’s as if we are no longer influenced by appearances or forms we cling to – forms that keep us from recognizing the paradise we already inhabit. Heaven on earth is a choice, not an unsolvable riddle.
