Not a lotus. Not a tulip. This is Curcuma – a flower of quiet strength and resilience.
It took me a few days to find its name: Siam Tulip (Curcuma alismatifolia) – a tropical bloom from the ginger family.

At first glance, it may seem modest. But that’s exactly what makes it compelling. This flower thrives in warm climates, blooms generously through the seasons, and carries with it the meaning of joy, steady optimism, and an inner strength that speaks without needing to impress.

In this painting, I chose soft light, subtle shadows, and a quiet composition – hoping to reflect that understated vitality and grace.
