Flowers in The Little Village arrived Seoul

Today, my recently painted Flowers in The Little Village arrived in Seoul and found a new home in the residence of Mr. Kim Dong Ho – Founder and Former Chairman of the Busan International Film Festival. It is a tremendous honor to have the opportunity to work with him and to have him serve as the Honorary Chairman and Chief Advisor of our film festival.

I suffered a serious stroke after last year’s festival. Knowing this, during his business trip this month, Mr. Kim made a special visit to my home. As always, he brought me special gifts, just as he has done every single time we’ve met over the years. But more than that, he cares for me the way a father does – always looking out for me, offering guidance, and showing kindness that goes beyond professional respect.

Once again, it was my great privilege to present my painting to him. He personally selected this piece along with a few silk scarves from my Art Gift Set.

I was deeply moved by his visit and sincerely hope to see him again soon. At nearly 90 years old, he continues to travel the world, leaving an indelible mark on the global film industry.
