Description
I don’t usually paint small canvases, but lately, I’ve grown quite fond of the 30 x 40 cm size. A painting’s size is like a frame for the story the artist wants to tell. Smaller canvases like this aren’t loud or demanding, they don’t take up much space, but they have a unique charm that makes viewers stop, take a closer look, and feel more deeply.
What I love about the 30 x 40 cm size is that it’s just right. Just right to satisfy my craving to paint on busy days, and compact enough for collectors to easily find a spot for it – whether it’s on a desk corner or a small wall in the living room. It’s not too big to feel overwhelming, but not too small to lose detail or emotion.
Maybe I like this size because it’s simple, approachable, and charming. Every time I paint on it, I feel at ease – just enough space to do what I want. Sometimes, the things that are “just right” are exactly what we need most.
