This small painting (30 x 40 cm) in oil on canvas brings me great joy. Most of the time, I work on large canvases, but on busy days or for some reason when I can’t paint for long, I create smaller works to maintain my connection with art and creativity. Painting is always a source of endless excitement for me. Some people may only paint when they feel well, but for me, picking up a brush when I’m unwell makes me feel better.

There were times when, to recover from an illness, I got out of bed to paint – and by the time I finished, it felt like I had taken a high-dose vitamin C. This painting wasn’t made during an illness; instead, it was born amidst the whirlwind of work and life. Yet, I had to pause – to reconnect with the colors, the canvas, and the emotions that needed to be expressed through paint. That’s why it feels so vibrant.
