FLORA’s POETRYA Casual Talk
These verses aren’t meant to impress—they’re fragments of life, written for the joy of it, a way to respond to the quiet hum of existence.
Welcome to a softer side of my creative journey—my poetry. For me, poetry is like a quiet conversation, an effortless stream of thoughts that flow as naturally as breathing. I’ve been writing poems since I was 15, and for many years, I published them in national student and arts newspapers and magazines. But over time, something changed. I stopped taking poetry so seriously and started treating it more like a daily habit, a way of simply reacting to life. Now, writing poetry is just part of living—something I do for fun, with no pressure or need for perfection.
Most of my poems weren’t written to be stored or preserved. Instead, I would send them to friends or casually post them on social media. They were moments in time, fleeting and spontaneous. For the first time, I’ve made the effort to collect them here, piecing together fragments of the past that were never meant to be held onto. It wasn’t easy, but it feels right to finally share these poems in one place.
Writing poetry is like painting for me—it’s about capturing a feeling in its purest form. I don’t wait for inspiration; I write whenever, wherever, letting the words flow naturally. My poetry doesn’t ask for attention, and it doesn’t try to impress. It’s simple, much like the moments that inspire it. My Zen approach to life often comes through in my poems, with themes of presence, mindfulness, and the quiet beauty found in everyday experiences.
I invite you to take your time with these poems. They are not polished works but rather snapshots of moments—reflections of a fleeting thought, a passing feeling, or a still moment. Through this collection, you’ll get a glimpse into how I live, breathe, and respond to the world around me. Let’s have a casual talk, through words that were never meant to be permanent, but are now part of this shared experience.
“My poetry isn’t crafted to last forever—it’s a quiet reflection of life’s fleeting moments, captured in words that come and go, just like the breath.”
“Poetry, for me, is as natural as living. It’s not about perfection or permanence, but about embracing the simplicity of the present.”
“I don’t wait for inspiration; the words flow when they’re ready—spontaneous, unplanned, and always in sync with the rhythm of life.”
